As the impact of COVID-19 reaches further into our communities we wanted to assure you that the health and wellbeing of our customers and the Tooronga Village community is the overriding priority.
We are monitoring the official advice from relevant health authorities including the Australian Government Department of Health and other National and State agencies and our actions will reflect guidance we have received.
We have implemented a range of precautionary measures to help mitigate the spread of the virus at Tooronga Village including a heightened focus on sanitising hard surfaces throughout the Centre such as bathrooms and lift lobbies, the installation of additional hand sanitisers in the bathrooms and increased communication to customers regarding hygiene standards.
We continue to monitor the changing circumstances and are working to ensure Tooronga Village, as the heart of your community, provides a safe environment to service your shopping needs.
Our policy and procedures relating to COVID-19 also includes contingency plans should we be required to manage the presence of the virus in our Centre. We are governed by the advice of health authorities and are well prepared for this scenario.
We will continue to communicate with you again as required and strongly encourage you to access and make yourself familiar with the following information sources:
We thank you for your continued support of the retailers at Tooronga Village. The Centre remains open for business and look forward to seeing you soon.
Update – Friday 24 July
Tooronga Village Centre Management was notified on Friday 24 July that a Coles Team member has a confirmed case of COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating. Our best wishes are with that Coles employee and their family. Coles have informed Centre Management the team member has not been into the store since July 13. Furthermore, a small number of team members who worked in close contact are required to self-isolate and Coles will continue to work with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services to finalise contact tracing.
Coles have also informed Centre Management that it has followed all health authority requirements arising from this positive test, which included an additional deep clean of the store following the confirmation. Centre Management can confirm the current cleaning regimen in place fully complies with Australian Government regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers and staff. The Centre is open as usual to service the ongoing needs of our community. For further inquiries please contact Coles directly.
